Dear Members of Renfrew Minor Hockey Association (RMHA),
Volunteers are required to submit criminal reference checks to RMHA every 2 years. If you completed a criminal reference check last season, it is valid for 2 years from the date on the reference check. RMHA Secretary has maintained a record of those submitted last season. Please note, should circumstances require, RMHA reserves the right to request criminal reference checks more frequently.
NEW for 2012-13 – Due to new insurance requirements mandated by Hockey Canada, RMHA requires that you complete a criminal reference check prior to being approved as a volunteer and added to a team list. Unfortunately, RMHA is no longer able to wait for the forms to be processed as we have done in the past. Sincere apologies for the inconvenience but this is beyond our control.
Forms can be obtained at the OPP Detachment in Renfrew or by emailing Kim Greer at kgreer@xplornet.com. Any member of the RMHA executive can sign the form confirming that you are a volunteer with RMHA.
This process can take several months to complete so please get the paperwork completed and submitted to the OPP as soon as possible in order to avoid disappointment this Fall.
